Bolshoi Theater
The Bolshoi Ballet and Bolshoi Opera are amongst the oldest and greatest ballet and opera companies of the world, respectively. The theatre is the parent company of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, a world-leading school of ballet.

Red Square (Krasnaja Ploshad)
Probably Red Square is the most famous part of Moscow city tour. Over the centuries the square served different various functions being a market and execution or ceremony place but still remained “krasnaja” which means beautiful (old Russian). Apart from Red Square Moscow city tour includes two well-known cathedrals: St Basil’s Cathedral and Christ Cathedral the Savior.

St Basil’s Cathedral
The cathedral was to commemorate the victory of Ivan the Terrible over Kazan and Astrakhan khanate. Each of eight chapels surrounding the ninth temple bears the name of a saint. Saint Basil, Moscow “God’s fool” was buried in one of the chapels, hence the name of the cathedral.

The new temple was to symbolize the feat of Russian people and to become a gratitude to Providence for saving Russia. Both internal and external decoration of the cathedral is so rich that it took about 40 years to finish it.

Gorky Park
Gorky Park is one of the three most beautiful parks that you will visit during Moscow city tour. The park was created by the amalgamation of the extensive gardens of the old Goloisyn Hospital and Neskuchny Palace. The park has one of the mockups from the Buran space shuttle program which allows children to take part in the “Cosmic Experience”.
The German band Scorpions achieved great success with their song “Wind of Change” which references Gorky Park in respect of sociopolitical changes taking place in a post Cold War era in Eastern Europe in the early 1990s.

Sparrow Hills
It is one of highest points in Moscow with an attitude up to 220 m. You will be able to stand on the observation platform which is situated on a steep bank 85 m above the river. Certainly in summer you will always can take a cable car at Sparrow mountains and enjoy the view of the capital.

Moscow State University
Moscow city tour: Cathedral of Christ the SaviourLomonosov Moscow State University is the largest university in Russia. The establishment of the university was instigated by Ivan Shuvalov and Mikhail Lomonosov and the decree ordering its creation was issued by Elizabeth in 1755. More than 40 000 undergraduates and about 7 000 postgraduates study at the university. More than 4 000 professors and lecturers, and about 5 000 researchers work for the faculties and research institutes. The University employs over 15 000 of ancillary staff. Every year Moscow University enrolls about 2 000 international students and postgraduates from all over the world.
The university has at its disposal more than 600 buildings and facilities including the sky-scraper on Lenin Hills, occupying over 1 million square metres.
Moscow State University has great significance for Russian educational system, that is why it is included in our Moscow city tour.

Victory Park (Poklonnaya Hill)
Victory Park is something that reminds of monument triumphal art typical of the Soviet Union. The park is located on and around the Poklonnaya Gora, the hill where Napoleon waited in vain to be given the keys to the city when his troops were surrounding Moscow in 1812, the park is set in an area steeped in Russian military history.

Moscow city tour: Victory Park Old Arbat Street
It is a long pedestrian street in the historical centre of Moscow. It has existed since 15th century when it formed part of an important trade route and was home to a large number of craftsmen. There are several notable statues there, including one to Princess Turandot in front of the Vachtangov theatre and another to Soviet –era folk singer, bard and poet, Bulat Okudzhava, who wrote several song about Arbat. Because of the many historic buildings and numerous artists who have lived and worked in the street the Arbat is an important tourist attraction.

White House
Russian White House is a government building in Moscow which now houses the Russian government. The location of the building is really favorable as it is situated at the embankment of the Moskva river.

Alexander Garden
It was one of the first public parks in Moscow. The specialty of the park is the outlying Kutafya Tower and the Moscow Kremlin.
